No Yard? No Problem!

No Yard? No Problem!

By: Donna Lefeber

Spring is here??  Don’t be discouraged by our April weather so far – Spring always comes…eventually, and time for planning your garden has arrived.  But, if all you have is a balcony, porch, or patio, don’t despair.  You can beautify your small space with flowers or grow luscious tomatoes – in containers!  We can point you to resources to help you make the most of your space(and time) limitations and create a wonderful summer place at home.

Check out our book display in Adult Services (starting Friday April 6 – hooray!) And, in our magazine section, you’ll find Fine Gardening, Garden Gate, and Sunset. This month’s Horticulture, Country Living, and Midwest Living all have features about sprucing up small spaces.  The Hamilton County Master Gardeners are again hosting their annual plant sale in May, and you can get expert advice in choosing just the right plants for your space. So, even though our Indiana weather is cooperating, let your mind go to sunshine, warm temps, and growing things.  Happy Gardening!

More services are available at the Fishers Library, please see Library News for more info.
